The Amelia Peabody Foundation makes its annual information return, the 990 PF, widely available. You may obtain this report by going to: Guidestar on the Web. There a database containing information regarding the Amelia Peabody Foundation, as well as other comparable tax-exempt organizations, is established and maintained. When you go to their page enter Amelia Peabody Foundation in the Search GuideStar box, then choose the Wellesley option of the two listed. You will then see the link, Amelia Peabody Foundation. Click on this, and when you see the Foundation page click on the Forms 990 & Docs tab. After registering without charge you will be able to view the most recent Forms 990PF as filed by the Foundation.

First you may need to download a free copy of the Adobe Acrobat Reader if you don't already have one on your computer. Following the download you will be able to see in Adobe Acrobat format an exact reproduction of the annual report information return as it was originally filed with the Internal Revenue Service. You may view and read it, or download and print and then read a hard copy of the report.

The Amelia Peabody Foundation has never filed a Form 4720. From time to time the Foundation may file Form 990T regarding Exempt Organization Business Income. When filed such forms are available without charge by contacting the Foundation offices at One Hollis Street, Suite 215, Wellesley, MA 02482-4677.

The Amelia Peabody Foundation has no current contributors beyond occasional surplus remainder payments from a minor trust originally funded by Miss Peabody to benefit her staff during their lifetimes. The Amelia Peabody Foundation filed its application for exemption before July 15, 1987 (in February of 1944) and has no record that on that date it had a copy of that application. In addition, the Internal Revenue Service by notice dated December 7, 1999, has determined that it, too, has no copy of that application.
